Membership benefits

Members receive a free subscription to TIF Magazine, our quarterly magazine providing news and views from patients, parents, thalassaemia associations and scientists from around the world.

You will also receive regular updates about upcoming conferences, workshops and other events organised or supported by TIF.

Members receive all new TIF publications free of charge as soon as they are released.

There are two categories of membership for first time members:

• General Membership - only for thalassaemia associations
• Associate Membership - for thalassaemia clinics, doctors, scientists, other disease-oriented associations, interested individuals and companies.

After one year, General Members are eligible to become Voting Members.

How to become a member

To become a member, simply fill in the appropriate application form and send it to TIF offices together with the registration fee and the first annual subscription fee.

Upon receipt of your application form with payment we will send you our receipt. Applications are subject to approval by the TIF Board of Directors at their next Board Meeting. If accepted you will be sent a letter of confirmation and a membership number.

How to pay

• 1. Payment by banker’s draft issued by any first-class international bank in US dollars (US$) in favour of "Thalassaemia International Federation" and sent to TIF by registered post.
• 2. Payment by credit card: complete the application form and forward to TIF.
