Educational events (conferences, seminars and workshops) held at local, national, regional and international levels constitute an important element of TIF’s internationally recognised educational programme. Our major international events are the biennial International Conference on Thalassaemia and Other Haemoglobinopathies, and the Pan-European and Pan-Middle East regional conferences.
The 2nd Pan-European Conference on Haemoglobinopathies brings together health professionals and scientists involved in the field of haemoglobinopathies, as well as patients and parents from all over Europe. The conference expects to attract 250 participants, including haematologists, paediatricians, cardiologists, endocrinologists and other medical specialists; nurses and other health professionals; research scientists; patient advocates; representatives of EU institutions, European and international NGOs and governments.
