The European Forum for Good Clinical Practice (EFGCP) is a non-profit organisation established by and for individuals with a professional involvement in the conduct of biomedical research. Its purpose is to promote good clinical practice and encourage the practice of common, high-quality standards in all stages of biomedical research throughout Europe. Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF), with a mission to achieve equal access to quality healthcare for every patient with thalassaemia across the world, shares common objectives with EFGCP. Biomedical research in the field of haemoglobinopathy disorders is of pivotal importance in scientific advancement in this field and thus of improving the standard and quality of healthcare to patients with these disorders.
