Honours & Awards

Over the years, TIF has received multiple honours and awards from international organisations for significant contributions in the field of thalassaemia and other haemoglobinopathies.

TIF is in official relationships with the WHO since 1996 and has a consultative role in the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

World Health Organization

The World Health Organization has presented the Dr Lee Jong-wook Memorial Prize for Public Health to TIF. Read more

Panos Englezos Prize

The Prize is initiated in 2016 in honour and recognition of the vast, lifelong and voluntary contribution of Mr Panos Englezos, parent of a thalassaemic son. Read more
